Elena Nemtsova is an internationally recognised chamber musician and collaborative pianist. She combines a busy performing career with her professorship in Solo Accompaniment in Music and Art University, Vienna and a collaborative piano position as well as teaching collaborative piano practice at the Anton Bruckner University, Linz Austria.

She regularly appears at international music festivals such as Altensteiger Summer Academy, Schloss Heiligenberg Int. Music Academy (Germany), Orlando Festival (Holland),Singapore Int.Violin Festival (Singapore), Musiques Vivantes festival (France), Vituskircherl Chamber Music Festival and Allegro Vivo Festival (Austria).

Elena completed her Bachelor degree in Piano Performance and Composition at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire (Russia) and obtained a MMus Degree in Performance and International Artist Diploma in Chamber Music at Royal Northern College of Music (UK). Elena is a winner of numerous international awards. Formed in 2007 Nemtsov Duo has achieved international success in major competitions including 1st prize in the Salieri-Zinetti Int.Chamber Music Competition (Verona,Italy), 1st prize in Swedish Duo Int.Competition , 3rd Prize in Pinerolo Int.Chamber Music Contest and 3rd Prize in Lyon Int.Chamber Music Contest, WFIMC. Nemtsov Duo made their Wigmore Hall debut in 2011.They have appeared at various festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, Buxton Music Festival, Oxford May Music, Prussia Cove and performed at the Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Saint Petersburg Philharmonia Hall, Lyon National Opera House. Nemtsov Duo has released two CDs : Works for cello and piano by Boccherini,Beethoven and Chopin(Azurra Music Records, Italy 2011), „60 Degrees North“(CMF label , London 2015) and performed live on BBC. Elena is constantly looking for opportunities to expand her repertoire and performs a lot of modern and contemporary music. She has given a world premiere of a cello piano sonata by Edwin Roxburgh in 2017 in London and recently recorded "Double" for clarinet and piano written by Louis Andriessen with Alan R. Kay (Theater Heerlen, Netherlands).

Her achievements as a composer include 1st Prizes at Young Composer Competitions "I am a composer" and “Crystal Tuning Fork".She has written a piece “Heartbeat” especially for Nemtsov Duo that has been released on the CD.Her piece “Mirage” has been commissioned by Ensemble Mirage and was premiered at St John’s Smith Square in London in 2017. “Golden Eagle '' for soprano, marimba and piano was commissioned by Orlando Festival 2022 and was performed there this August…..
