The Institute for Woodwind Instruments (HOL) offers students a well-rounded artistic and artistic-pedagogical education in all areas of classical wind playing with its internationally active faculty. On the one hand, the traditional field of orchestral instrument training lays the foundations for a successful career as a professional musician. On the other hand, innovative teaching models in the artistic pedagogical field train dynamic instrumental teachers in line with the spirit of the times.

Intensive cross-institutional chamber music and comprehensive mastery of entire instrument families are essential cornerstones in the continuous work in the central artistic major. It is also customary to have regular workshops with renowned artists from the international music scene.
