Keyboard Instruments
The Institute for Keyboard Instruments (TAS) is one of the central institutes at the Anton Bruckner University. It offers students a dedicated team of renowned teachers and a cutting-edge education in keyboard instruments. The main subjects of Piano, Piano Chamber Music, Accordion and Organ, as well as lessons in all complementary subjects relevant to keyboard instruments, form the basis of the training. Chamber Music and Vocal Accompaniment also play an important role in the programme. Music Education is another important part of the Institute's profile, which is strengthened by close cooperation with the Music School.
In addition, advanced masterclasses, cross-class projects, exchange concerts and much more provide students with an adequate environment to test their own abilities in interaction and comparison with others. Close cooperation with other departments and institutions is important to us in order to promote new and creative impulses.
The TAS is also responsible for the advancement of young talent. The use of historical instruments, the fortepiano and historical organs, both at home and abroad, is also emphasized.
