Andreas Aichinger was born in Linz, Upper Austria, in 1993. He received his first trumpet lessons at the age of seven with Manfred Jäger at the Landesmusikschule Hartkirchen.

He studied at the Anton Bruckner Private University with Bernhard Bär, Markus Eder, Josef Eidenberger and Florian Klingler. He also studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Prof. Johann Gansch and at the Zurich University of the Arts with Prof. Frits Damrow.

Andreas Aichinger taught at the Landesmusikschulwerk Oberösterreich and played as a substitute in the Bruckner Orchester Linz. From April 2018 to July 2019 he was an academist with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and then principal trumpet in the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland.

Since October 2022 Andreas Aichinger has been playing in the orchestra of the Volksoper Wien and teaches as a university lecturer at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität.
