Andrea
Bold
Andrea Bold studied rhythm and piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna;
Piano degree with distinction. In addition, she completed a 2-year dance study program (release/contact/small technique, etc.) at the Movement Research Institute in New York and was a scholarship recipient of the Carl Duisberg Society.
She received her training as a craniosacral therapist at the Thalamus School in Cologne.
She looks back on more than 15 years of work as a choreographer and is the founder of Tanzverein Erdberg. Guest performances have taken her throughout Europe, the USA and Mexico. She is a member of the improvisation collective DamenImprovisation & HerrenBIGbäng.
Further education and research in various somatic techniques (Yoga, Qi Gong, Ideokinesis, Body-Mind-Centering, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Kinetic Awareness, Continuum Movement).
Since 1992 Andrea Bold has been a lecturer at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz for bodywork for musicians;
from 1992 - 2021 she was also lecturer for dance improvisation, composition, choreography and didactics.
Since 2013 she is Senior Lecturer for Integrative Breath and Movement Work at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
